  • Online Application:

    Candidates must apply through online mode only via the link on the website: https://recruit-gov.com. No other application formats will be accepted. It is essential to read the instructions in the advertisement thoroughly before submitting the application.

  • Personal Details:

    A Candidate has to fill in personal particulars with care. All the name, date of birth, and marks obtained in examination are essential to be precisely reflected at Matriculation or Equivalent certificate. Any discrepancy noticed during document verification of a candidate, their candidature will be canceled automatically.

  • Contact Information:

    An active mobile number and a valid email ID are to be provided at the time of filling up the online application, which will be kept active all through the engagement process because all important messages will be sent by email/SMS.

  • Documents Required:

    While filling out the application form, candidates must have the following documents ready:

    • Photograph: A recent clear soft/scanned copy of a color photograph (size 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, taken not earlier than three months from October 5, 2024, in JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, size between 20 kb - 70 kb).
    • Signature: A clear scanned image of the candidate's signature on white paper with black/blue ink (size 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, size between 20 kb - 30 kb).
    • Aadhaar Number: The 12-digit Aadhaar Card Number. Candidates without an Aadhaar Number but enrolled can enter the first 14-digit Enrolment ID from the Aadhaar enrolment slip.
    • Identity Proof: A legible scanned copy of an original document (PDF or JPG/JPEG format, size 100 KB to 200 KB), such as:
      • Identity Card (e.g., Voter ID) if the Aadhaar card is unavailable.
      • SSC (Matriculation/10th Standard) or equivalent mark sheet.
      • Consolidated mark sheet for all semesters of the relevant ITI Pass trade.
      • National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or Provisional National Trade Certificate for ITI pass candidates.
      • Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates, where applicable (OBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued within three years for OBC candidates).
      • Physical Disability certificate issued by the competent Medical Board/Authority for PH/PWD candidates.

  • Document Legibility:

    All documents should be clear and legible. A candidature may be rejected at the time of document verification. The candidature shall be summarily rejected if the uploaded documents are irrelevant and not legible.

  • Submission of Documents:

    Application forms/documents are not required to be made available in hard copies at the concerned Factory/unit /YIL. A registered email ID of the applicant concerned will receive a soft copy of the application in PDF format after final submission.

  • Notification of Application Status:

    Application shortlisted for award will receive a confirmation SMS/email of their online application and website. Change of name in the factory request will not be entertained after the applicant submitting online application.

  • Single Application Policy:

    Only one application per candidate will be accepted. Submitting multiple applications with different particulars will result in rejection of all such applications.

  • Aadhaar Card Requirement:

    Candidates must have an Aadhaar Card. As a part of the registration process, candidates are supposed to add their 12-digit Aadhaar Number. Candidates do not have an Aadhaar Card or are enrolled but have not yet obtained the card may use any of the first 14 digits of the Enrolment ID appearing on the enrolment slip. All shall use this except candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Meghalaya, and Assam, who shall be allowed to use any one of the following as Id proof:

    • Voter ID Card
    • Passport
    • Driving License
    • Photo ID Card issued by the Central/State Government
    • Student Identity Card with a photograph issued by a recognized school/college
    • Nationalized Bank passbook with a photograph

    Scanned copies (JPG/JPEG format) of the above identity proof must be uploaded in the online application form.

  • Proof of Address:

    Provisionally selected candidates having Aadhaar card have to carry the original Aadhaar card or the documents mentioned above while coming for verification. The proof of address documents to be uploaded by the candidates include:

Mode of Selection - Yantra India Limited Apprentice 2024


  • Merit Basis:

    Selection will be based on merit and the choice of Ordnance Factory indicated by the candidate. Merit lists will be prepared separately for NON-ITI and EX-ITI categories.

  • NON-ITI Category:

    The merit list for NON-ITI will be factory-wise based on the overall percentage of marks in Madhyamik (Class X or equivalent). Candidates have to submit the original mark sheet issued by the Madhyamik Board.

  • CGPA/GPA Conversion:

    If the candidate's board is adopting CGPA/GPA grading, then marks must be entered; not the CGPA. The wrong entries shall be computed into percentages based on the standard factor of 9.5 and irrespective of the criteria being adopted by the boards in their computations. While using the percentage conversion factor, due care has to be exercised and the proper conversion methodology adhered to.

  • Ex-ITI Category:

    The merit list for Ex-ITI will be factory-wise and trade-wise, based on the simple average of marks in both Matriculation and ITI (minimum 50% aggregate required).

  • Original Marksheet Submission:

    Original mark sheets from Class X must be submitted Percentage from grades to be calculated using formula given and candidates are supposed to make sure that the entries made are correct.

  • Selection Process:

    Based on vacancy, select lists will be prepared, and only provisionally selected candidates will be called for document verification and medical examination.

  • Tie Resolution:

    If two candidates happen to be in tie on merit list, preference shall be given to older candidate. If the date of birth is same then that candidate with earlier date of Matriculation certificate would be preferred. And in case both dates of matriculation are same also then alphabetical order of candidate's names would be followed.

  • Revision of Select List:

    YIL reserves the right to revise the select list as necessary, and the decision of YIL/Ordnance and Ordnance Equipment Factories will be final in this regard.
